Hair Extensions
We see it all around us. Hair is a major part of everyone’s look everyday. We have all seen the good, the bad, and the ugly. And to each individual the words are defined differently. What I think is beautiful, someone else may absolutely detest.
However we all still see it. It is very hard not to see what is right in front of us on the daily. Unless of course you can’t see, that is a different conversation. Whether you want short pixie hair, or long luscious locks you see what you want on someone else and you get a little envious.
That is where Hair Extensions are changing the conversation. Helper hair is also in this category. You have fine thin hair that won’t grow, Hair extensions. You cut your hair off and regret it, Hair extensions. The sides of your hair won’t grow, Hair extensions. If you have a problem with your hair, Hair extensions. More often than not when you see someone's hair that you are a little envious of, Hair extensions. There are just as many different ways to put hair back in as there are to take it off. So where to start?
Do your research and find what you think will be best for you. I have been doing hair extensions since 2000. I have been certified in the 4 most common ways of hair extension installations: Wefts (Hand tied and Machine), iTip, Fusion, and tape. Within these four methods I have been certified with 7 different companies that install differently. And have of course done my own research and tweaked them all here and there to make them my own. Until Invisible Bead Extensions®️
For 20+ years I was always on the search for a method that didn’t destroy my guests' hair and make them have to have extensions for life. And in 2019 for the first time I finally saw the answer to what I had been searching for.
Invisible Bead Extensions changed the hair extension game and not only is it a beautiful install, it is the most beautiful grow out. Why is this important? We all love the first few days of our extensions. They look beautiful and they have given us the confidence in ourselves that we were missing. But then they start to grow out. And they live in the grow out phase far longer than the fresh new install phase.
Invisible Bead Extensions are comfortable. From the minute they are installed they should feel like they are hugging your head. You should not need pain relievers or a day or two to get used to the pain. Why? If you are experiencing pain most likely your hair is being pulled not only prematurely from your scalp but in a very slow and almost tortuous way. This pain can cause permanent damage to the scalp and hair. Thus the need to not only want hair extensions but have to continue wearing them because your hair is worse than when you started.
My goal is to give you the hair of your dreams while also protecting your own hair and scalp. So that if your circumstances in life change you are not held hostage to your hair. I want to teach you how to properly maintain your investment and be able to enjoy the processes from the very first day. I will do my best to work with you every step of the way.
Here are some Frequently Asked Questions:
Is IBE the same as hand tied extensions?
Hand tied is a type of hair weft that is used; IBE is a method of installing hair.
How often do I need to get my extensions moved up?
Depending on the density of your hair I recommend your first move up at about 8 weeks. If you have finer hair I may suggest to see you sooner. If you have denser hair you may be able to go longer.
How long is the Average appointment time?
This varies on what you’re starting with and what your end goal is. A typical row takes me on average 1 hour.
How long does the hair last?
Quality hand tied hair lasts on average 6-12 months. With proper styling care and use of the recommended professional hair products, you can easily get one year out of your hair. WARNING: Blond hair, in my experience, doesn’t last a full year. On average blond hair will get 8 - 10 months.
How much do hair extensions cost?
All pricing will be determined in our 1 on 1 consultation. This is because hair extensions are not a one size fits all. I will work with you on what you want and what you have in your beauty budget. Just know that quality hair extensions are an investment. You wouldn’t expect to purchase a Porsche for the price of a Hyundai.
How often do I need to come in?
IBE move ups are typically 8 weeks. Again it is not a one size fits all. Some guests want to come in sooner at 6 and 7 weeks and some guests like to go loner between 10 and 12 weeks. We will determine what is right for you.
How do I keep my hair extensions looking great?
Using the right products will be crucial. And this can vary for everyone. We will talk about you and your hair and get you the right products. Also be cautious of over brushing and excessive heat. Hot water can be too hot and keep the hot tools at 350 degrees or lower. I did not say it has to be cold just not excessively hot. Also I find hair extensions do not need to be
